Walking Barley this morning I came across this in front of Butch and Marge’s house. Even if they did drink I would peg them drinking Budweiser or Coors Light, you know Nascar kind of beers.

Bench Racer, Bonnie and I went to Vickie and Paul’s for 10 days. We were on our way back to Orlando.

Last stop before we headed inland to Interstate 5. This little town, while not picturesque, did have warmer, less windy weather. This was Newport, Oregon. The last picture is of a harbor seal that made a quick appearance.

Down the beach some at the Devil’s Punchbowl near the Otter Crest area. I think the winds were worse than at Cape Foulweather. The last picture you can see Cape Foulweather gift shop where I took the previous pictures.

These are the wild cucumbers the ground squirrel was eating.

Cape Foulweather. Aptly named, wind gusts of 34 mph.

See the sea lions out on the rocks? Neither did we until someone pointed them out.

Rocks and rock formations. The last picture is of barnacles that are about four feet up and completely under water at high tide.

The tide pools had lots of starfish and anemones. The sixth picture has 3 starfish in one spot. The ninth picture has a closed anemone.

Woke up the next morning to low tide and the exposed kelp beds.
